90s babe | Naimah.A

Hello Dolls

I hope all is well wherever your beautiful souls are at. Today I bring you a post inspired by one of my favorite movies called Poetic Justice. With this specific hair style I get told often that I look like Janet Jackson-which is very flattering. I collaborated with @benhurayettey to bring this amazing visual together. I tried to recreate a few of the outfits Janet Jackson wore in the movie and a major staple would be high waisted jeans. I love high waisted jeans because they extentaute my figure and cinche in my waist. I find a crop to be more suitable with high waisted jeans, to give it a 90s vibe. To top this look all off I paired it with an all white FILE sneakers and for the accessory I wore these unique shades. I hope you guys like my 90s/poetic justice inspired look. Make sure you check out Ben’s instagram, till next time XoXoXo.

Body confidence | Naimah.A

Hello dolls

I hope all is well wherever your beautiful souls are at. I have reached a great mile stone not too long a go. I’ve had what’s been a mental and emotional journey when it comes to body confidence and today I’m here to share that with you. I’ve lost over 40 pounds in the last 7 months due to continuous exercise and a clean eating. I constantly told myself  I would be much happier if I lost 10 pounds and when I did I would aim for another 10 more. I understood that everything was a process but I wondered why mine wasn't going any faster. These are the kind of thoughts that drive women like me into an insecure position and constant self doubt. Instead of enjoying the process of weight loss I was moved out of fear. I wouldn't see results fast enough which has caused me to burn out and crash. After reevaluating my reasons I found a healthier and better way to go about weight loss journey. I became vegetarian after a long research process and have for over 6 months now. I narrowed the amount of time I spent in the gym to four days and only an hour session. In contrast to before I spent 6 days there and over an hour each day. I felt much better about my intake on food and the progression my body has been making. I definitely learned to trust the process and not to rush a master piece. I recently did a shoot with another talented local photographer who's helped me celebrate body confidence. His name is Mike but hes known as @mikeothe2. You should check his work I promise you it won't disappoint. I hope you guys enjoy these photo's and until next time Xoxo
